Lifesteps Transition’s Got Talent…and That’s a Fact!

Imagine performing on the same stage as some of these famous musicians-Eddie Money, the Gin Blossoms, Foghat, Jefferson Starship, the Outlaws and Shooter Jennings.

That’s just what happened for the folks from Lifesteps Transition Program… The Next Step. They hosted their ‘Transition’s Got Talent’ Event on Tuesday, March 19th, 2019 at Jergel’s Rhythm Grill.  It was clear from the kick off of the show as the Masters of Ceremonies traded jokes and introduced the talent that these were going to be some memorable performances.

The variety of music and dance was well rounded with the start of some “Popalicious” music including songs by Taylor swift and Alicia Keys. Next up were the “Country Crooners” where they were “kicking up the dust” with some “Chicken Fried” fun. The theme then shifted into the “Rock ‘n Rolla” portion of the show. “Don’t stop believin’” that this was some serious talent on the stage, where we found out “What’s Up?” As they wrapped up this section with some foot stomping “We Will Rock You”, the program then turned to “Broadway Babies”.  Some new tunes such as “Alexander Hamilton” and classics like “Phantom of the Opera” transported us into the theater’s front row on to the edge of our seats for the finale. With everyone on stage and all eyes on them, the Transitions Got Talent Ensemble delivered an amazing version of Rent’s “Seasons of Love”.

The songs mentioned above are only a fraction of the entertainment provided. You can only imagine the amount of time and dedication put in by everyone, performers and Transition’s staff alike.  What was also apparent, was the fondness that everyone shares for one another.  They got the crowd clapping and moving, singing and laughing.  They brought the house down! Kudos to Jergel’s and their staff for making this event a reality.

Thank you so much to all for the opportunity to share in this show; it was a packed house.  Looking forward to the next event.  Who knows maybe they’ll let me be a backup singer? meeeee meeeeee meeee ahem la la la la la la la la-never too soon to start practicing!
