Accessible Erie

Flip-Flops, the smell of suntan lotion, and big blue sky days are soon to be heading our way.  Almost nothing excites me more than the arrival of summer and trips to Lake Erie.  It’s not hard to convince me to go anywhere as long as Lake Erie is nearby.  I love Geneva-on-the-Lake, Sandusky, and Put-In-Bay, but I spend most of my time in the great city of Erie, PA.  It’s a fantastic place for relaxing at the beach but there is so much more to do!  It has lots of great attractions that larger cities do without a higher price tag or crowds.  If you are concerned about accessibility, there is a great resource to check out before the trip called Accessible Erie. The website is a project of Voices for Independence and lists local Erie attractions, dining establishments, and activities with rates from one to five stars.  Clicking on each link will provide information on parking, front door access, interior maneuverability, restroom experience, and overall accessibility.  Knowing this information in advance can make for a much easier time of planning and a much more enjoyable trip.  Check out Accessible Erie at https://www.accessibleerie.com/
