Let’s Commit to Fit Pennsylvania!

COVID-19 might have suspended Special Olympics’ events but Pennsylvanians do not let that keep them down. SOPA (Special Olympics Pennsylvania) launched a virtual workout program called Commit to Fit. Athletes, volunteers, supporters, everyone can stay active together, though we’re social distancing, via the daily workout videos.

You’re invited and encouraged to follow along on any of their social media channels at 10:30 a.m. EST, Monday-Friday. Their media channels include: FacebookInstagramTwitterYouTube and WordPress.

They also host a live workout session Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. EST on their Facebook page.  That’s two opportunities every week to band with peers virtually and work up a healthy sweat.

This weekday program first launched Tuesday, March 24th but you can still access the past sessions at https://specialolympicspa.org/commit-to-fit. Or you can pick up where they are now to follow along. Each video is conveniently bite-sized, just a few minutes in length showing you it just takes a few minutes to invest in a healthier you.

Commit to Fit is formed with collaboration from special guests, athletes, coaches, volunteers, celebrity ambassadors, and SOPA staff who all work together raising the rallying cry “Commit to Fit!” Each video introduces you to someone new leading the fun, short session.

Will you join the fitness journey? We can all take small steps to improve our health. Let’s maintain virtually so we will be ready when competitions come back in session.
