A Dream Come True

“Tell me I can’t so I can show you I can.”   This is the mantra of Armani Williams.

Armani is 20 years old, a professional NASCAR driver, a philanthropist, and has Autism Spectrum Disorder. He is the only driver in NASCAR with autism.

Autism is a disorder that is characterized by difficulty focusing on and processing different stimuli and tasks simultaneously. It is most commonly known for complications with communication.  These are the two skills that are key for any race car driver to be successful.

When Armani was eight years old he began competing in go-cart racing and has worked his way to celebrating his first top 10 finish this past August. Armani finished 10th at his home track of the Michigan International Speedway in the NASCAR ARCA Series race. He hasn’t allowed his diagnosis to hold him back.

As a philanthropist, Armani uses his personal diagnosis and his career success to  promote Autism awareness and research.  He and his family established the Armani  Williams Race 4 Autism Foundation in 2015.  During race week Armani makes appearances and  speaks to audiences to drive action and hope.

Armani hopes his journey can inspire others with autism to see their dreams come true.
