What’s the Story?

I am thrilled, elated, ecstatic…you can see that not even by coupling the dictionary and the thesaurus together can I really find the proper language to communicate the excitement of this announcement. Have you heard the word that Next Chapter Book Club has come to Western PA?

Next Chapter Book Club is a world-renowned club for adolescents and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to have the chance to make friends, read, and just have fun.

How does it work?

Four to eight members and two HCQU team members meet every other week for one hour to read and discuss a book. Books will be provided to members.

Who can become a member?

Anyone age 16 and over can participate, no matter their reading or ability level.

Who leads the book clubs?

Trained HCQU team members facilitate each club meeting.

When/Where are the meetings?

Meetings will be held virtually over Zoom video platform every other Wednesday 10 a.m.
