I had a chance to visit Gluten Free by D&D in Volant, PA and was so impressed, I wanted to let others know about this bakery.

Gluten Free by D&D is run by a mother and daughter team, Dawn and Deanna. They got the idea for the bakery when a family member contracted Lyme disease and the physician suggested an anti-inflammatory diet. At that time, he was tested for Celiac disease. The results were to be positive.

So, the mother, daughter team wanted to make delicious, gluten free foods.  As they began making gluten free foods, other family members would try their confections and would say the food was great. They started the business in their home; in 2019 the opportunity to open a bakery in Volant arose. They took it and haven’t looked back.

Gluten Free by D&D is proudly certified by the GFFS, the Gluten-Free Food Service program. This program began in 2014 to validate the policies and procedures of food service establishments to make sure they meet gluten-free safety criteria. Gluten Free by D& D changes their menu weekly, but they also take orders and ship confections to customers.  I was even informed they ship foods to other states. 

Gluten Free by D&D also has ice cream and makes their own gluten free waffle cones.
