Woodwork at Evergreen Homes, Inc. ATF Makes Amazing Pieces and Brings Out Creativity

The woodshop at Evergreen Homes may be small, but the people that work there make amazing pieces of art.  You might be surprised to know business operates with just a few people along with support staff. This small group creates vast variety of pieces, depending on the time of year and season. They create wonderful works of art that give people joy.  I myself have several pieces that I love.

Evergreen’s ATF’s director, Zach Close has been there for a total of almost 4 years with over 13 years of experience in the field.  Zach states “Everyone who does the woodwork gets a lot of happiness out of it.”

Some of the people who work there are Janice Szymanski, Tyler Abill, and Kathy Conn.  They usually have around 20 people that assist with making pieces.  And not everyone makes the same thing.   “They take pride in their work” says Zach Close.  Some pieces are quick to be done, while others are a little more painstaking in the details required. Either way everyone enjoys making unique artwork.

Every piece starts in the woodshop where they cut and prepare for painting and decorating.  This is where everyone’s personality shines.  Time is taken for every single piece to have the final finishing touches. Painting sometimes takes days due to different levels of difficulty and can be very tedious.  However, the final results show that time, talent, and hard work pay off with beautiful creations. Decorations are made for all seasons. They make anything from pumpkins, skeletons, or seasonal gnomes to Santa’s and flowers. They also build children-sized tables, chairs, and so much more.

It is worth the visit just to see all the artwork. The woodwork that is done at Evergreen Home, Inc. can also be selected by anyone who would like to purchase pieces.  Need something fun and different to do? Need gift ideas?
