Sexuality – Much Needed Information with a Today Twist

If you have worked in this field for any length of time you have surely heard the names Sharon Potter and Shawn McGill. Both Sharon and Shawn have advocated for the recognition of the sexuality needs of people with intellectual disabilities. They have provided support not only to self-advocates, those who may have engaged in offending behavior, but also to providers and the system in general.

Did you know this duo has started a podcast? This down to earth podcast discusses sexuality in people with intellectual disabilities. The podcast is called “Two Old Sexperts” and encourages the listener to learn that sexuality is a natural piece of life in those we support. It also teaches tools on how to address it effectively.
