Or that we can help you manage, track, and report training hours for your current staff? How, you ask? We have a great Learning Management System!
What is an LMS?
A Learning Management System, or LMS for short, is software that’s used to manage, deliver, track, and report on training that is delivered online. There’s both a front-end and a back-end component to an LMS. The front-end component is what the user sees. The back-end is the admin area for administrators and managers.
Our LMS: User-Friendly and Robust
Our LMS is a very robust and user-friendly system. On the front-end, users have more control over their own learning and data. They can:
- Self-enroll in courses (or unenroll)
- Download and/or print course materials and certificates
- Get their training history
- And so much more
The back-end is where the magic happens that makes it all possible.
Empower Managers with Training Data
Here’s the BIG news – if you are the person responsible for managing and tracking training for your staff, we can grant you access to training data for your staff members! Yes, you read that right. We’re going to let you behind the curtain where the magic happens so you can use our LMS to oversee training for your staff – in a single house, a program, or your whole agency.
With this access you will be able to:
- View your staff members and edit their demographic details
- Enroll your staff members in relevant courses and track their progress
- View and download course certificates for your staff
- Reset a password for a staff member
Streamline Onboarding for New Direct Support Professionals
We can help reduce the amount of time you spend training new employees by supplementing some one-on-one training with self-directed training that new hires can take on their own, online. We have a growing library of online interactive courses, recorded webinars, and self-study topics to help you onboard new staff members. You can enroll them in general courses like:
- Infection Control
- Fire Safety
- The Fatal Five
Additionally, you can include any relevant topics that might help them succeed with the person(s) they will support. For example, if they will be supporting a person who has Down Syndrome and also has GERD, it might be helpful to enroll them in a course about Down Syndrome and one about GERD.
Easy Onboarding Process
When you hire a new direct support professional, we’ll help you create an account for that person in our LMS. Once they have an account, you, as a manager, can enroll them in the courses you want them to take. Then, you send a link and their logon credentials to them via email, along with an expected completion date. Easy peasy!
