The Present
Many different traditions and celebrations are being remembered this time of year. As you remember the past, far distant or the recent months, I hope you also cherish the value of being present. Sometimes that means being a listening ear as someone meanders down memory lane. They just need a tender heart willing to glimpse at what they are sharing. Sometimes it means being a silent smile and to become a safe place for someone to just “be” and breathe. And sometimes it means getting out the dishes, decorations, and laundry with a song on your lips. Whatever this season holds for you, I hope you are present to soak up the details, cherish something sweet, and enjoy those around you.
